To understand its origins, we need to go back in time. In the 15th century, the estate was known as La Peyssine. Over the course of its history, the site has evolved, as has its name.
The name ‘Château de la Piscine’ is thought to be linked to the historical presence of water on the estate, with its springs and ponds that played a part in the life of the gardens.
So, no, you won’t find a swimming pool to take a dip in at the Château de la Piscine! But you will discover a château steeped in history, a magnificent wooded park and a setting full of charm.
It just goes to show that a name can sometimes hold a few surprises!
